Using work areas in facilities environments

Although work areas may be used to represent change control processes or projects, this is no longer the recommended practice for Meridian products, due to the many constraints that work areas present. For new implementations, the use of project folder types is recommended. If work isolation is needed, the Create New Version or Replace Document commands may be used to allow documents to go through a project or change control lifecycle while the last released version remains in the original directory structure.
